About Judith Kopácsi Gelberger

Judith Kopácsi Gelberger is an author, historian, and educator who explores the hidden human stories behind political events.
Born in Hungary, she is the daughter of Sándor Kopácsi, former Police Chief of Budapest and a central figure of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution.

Through memoirs, historical fiction, poetry, and educational works, Judith’s writing reflects resilience, sacrifice, and the enduring quest for dignity.
Her books, including Heroes Don’t Cry, The Price of Freedom trilogy, and Ruthless Rhythms, have been praised for their emotional depth, authenticity, and historical insight.

Her public service includes introducing democratic methods into Hungarian education and serving as a member of Canada’s Immigration and Refugee Board during a critical time for refugee justice.

Today, living in Canada, Judith continues her mission to give voice to those silenced by tyranny and to preserve the truths that history cannot afford to forget.
